Certified Personal Trainer, Speaker, Author & Coach
Throughout my life, I’ve always seemed to possess a natural ability to help people achieve different health and wellness aspirations. In 2005, I decided it was time to follow my calling and develop a business that would allow me to dedicate my time and passion to helping individuals reach and achieve their goals. Thus, Body Defining, LLC was formed, allowing me an avenue to help as many people as possible. My goal is to form a team of elite professionals who each bring unique skills to Body Defining, thus giving us depth to cover all aspects of the health and wellness industry.
Prior to creating Body Defining, LLC, I worked as a certified personal trainer at Bally Total Fitness. There I was able to craft and customize my training approach. During this time I also attended the Institute for Therapeutic Massage where I developed and fine-tuned my skills in massage therapy. I also spent time working at the South Mountain YMCA teaching boot camp fitness classes, sports classes for children, and assisted in directing a program designed to help build character and develop strong foundations for young adults.
In 2008, I decided to give some of my time to athletics. I’ve always had a love for sports and competition, and wanted to use my skills to help younger athletes. I began by volunteering my time to coach high school track. I work mostly with the hurdlers and sprinters, since those were my events when I competed. During this year I also was able to become a fitness consultant for Olympian Joetta Clark Diggs’ foundation. I also participate in her “Head 2 Toe Fitness Program”. This program is designed to teach the importance of nutrition, fitness, and life skills to students (k-12). I’ve also spent the last few years assisting youth track and football programs.
Since my start as a fitness trainer, I have been very privileged to work with a wide variety of clients which include: High School and Collegiate Athletes, Olympic Track Runners, Martial Artists, Celebrities and NFL Potentials.
The great relationships I’ve formed as a trainer and entrepreneur have brought about many opportunities which I am very grateful for. I’ve been featured as a fitness expert on Lenny Green’s radio program on 107.5 WBLS, and during his Family Day event. I also had the pleasure of being a featured fitness expert during the “Take a Loved One to The Doctor Day” event, hosted by Tom Joyner.
My most recent accomplishments have been becoming a published author, and forming a relationship with eHow.com. My book “Top 10 Excuses to Avoid Exercise and How to Overcome Them” is one that I hope will inspire and empower people to take hold of their life and not let anything hold them back from achieving optimum wellness and a better quality of life. In 2011 I became one of eHow.com’s newest fitness experts.
“I enjoy seeing people reach their health and wellness goals, especially if I can be a part of it. I love what I do.”
